b. 1986, HK.

Soleil Chappelle is the connective tissue between her identities as a dancer, performance maker, philosopher, and bodyworker in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The practice of craniosacral therapy--subtly sensing the movement of fascia and fluid tides in the body--permeates her dancing and philosophical thinking. Currently, as the driving force in her art making, Soleil dances as a form of philosophy and a phenomenological mode of research. Soleil leads workshops in Sensory Woven Swells, a philosophical art practice.

Soleil holds a BFA in performance from Naropa University, and an MA in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness from California Institute of Integral Studies. Her private practice is called Creative Bodywork, personalized bodywork based in craniosacral therapy. She received her training from McKinnon Body Therapy Center.

She currently resides in the Tamalpais-Homestead Valley.
